Report from GIS workshop, held in Dubrovnik, November 27.-30.2013.
Within the cross-border project “Heritage-Driver for Development”, which is implemented through the IPA program Montenegro-Croatia, funded by the EU delegation; in Dubrovnik, from November 27th-30th, 2013, was held workshop on “GIS in the analysis of landscape / scenery.”
The workshop was organized for 16 representatives of project partners and associates, but the lecture was open to other professionals interested in the topic. The aim of the workshop was to present the analysis of different models of landscape / scenery through the selected software (different application of Geographic Information System – GIS). The workshop was conducted by consultants who have experience and references in the said area. Invited speakers were, from their experience, talking about geographic information systems in geography related to planning, surveying and news that GIS technology brings, in the field of landscape architecture and urban architecture-related to planning. Heritage – Driver of Development
The aim the project “Heritage – Driver of Development” is contribution to establishing cooperation between institutions in charge of natural and cultural heritage protection through implementing joint programs, education, know-how transfer and awareness raising activities.
